fashion week street style: looks for the rest of us

I don't know about you but my Instagram and Pinterest feeds have been saturated with hot pink, red, (and orange!) lips, an endless supply of funky manicures and out-there outfits.  It's been a flood of inspiration for my closet, skin and nails but I can't really get away with wearing hot pink lipstick and short shorts on the reg.  Street style on the other hand is a bit more approachable for the rest of us.  I'm loving the midi-skirt, matte nails and structured bags, what are your favorite trends coming out of New York Fashion Week?
