Each year San Franciscans pay tribute to the disaster that rocked their city in 1906 with a 12k known as Bay to Breakers.
Throughout the years the race has had many faces, but these days, the race is famous for the costumes and characters that it produces. The race/walkabout is celebrated by thousands each year and it continues to reflect the uniqueness of the city and all that it represents.
These images were captured along the way by LA photographer Jayson Fox.
