currently coveting: vintage rugs
The past few months, I have acquired quite the taste for vintage rugs. Whether they're Moroccan, Turkish, Kilim, Woven, Overdyed, Shag, Striped or Jute - I want them all. I am convinced they are the secret ingredient to every great room and am so intrigued by the story and the journey behind each unique design. The hands that wove it, the country it traveled from, the exotic fruits and vegetables used to die it. The more vibrant the better, the more unique the more I want it.
And every time I add another rug to my ever growing wish list, I ceremoniously sing a little Beyonce (with slight lyrical tweaks of course). "Uh uh oh, oh oh oh oh oh oh. If you like it then you should've put a rug on it."
